Mother's Day is Coming Up!
I've been trying to think of some ideas to do for Mother's Day other than the traditional flowers.
Here are some FREE ideas that I have done in the past:
- Breakfast in Bed - If you have some eggs and potatoes you can do scrambled eggs and home made hash browns! Just cut the potatoes into cubes and throw a little popcorn seasoning on it! (That's a secret trick that tastes amazing!)
- Chore Cards - Cut up some decorative paper or just plain paper and decorate it yourself. Write a chore on each card that she can present to you. Example: Mom gives you a card that says 'Dishes' on it, you would take over the chore and she is free from doing dishes that night!
- Homemade Cards - Don't you remember when you were little and used to make cards at school? Remember how much your Mom or Dad loved it? I'm sure they still have them tucked away somewhere! If you have kids then you know how much it means when you get a homemade card from them letting you know how much they love you! Why not make one for Mom? (Then you get to play in the glitter!)
- 'The List' - Get some colored paper and make a list of all of your most favorite memories with your Mom, silly things you did growing up that you know she's fond of or times that she was there for you and mean a lot to you. Don't forget to decorate it! (More Glitter!)
- Spend Time Together - Have a picnic, take a walk, go to the Museum, do something you used to do together when you were growing up! My Mom and I used to plant a vegetable garden together every year. This year she'll be coming out to our farm to help plant the vegetable garden, but it was one of my most favorite times that I got to spend with her.
There are quite a few things you can do that are Free that will still show your Mom that you love her, I definitely have not listed them all! If you have any ideas please feel free to share!
To all Mother's:
